Ran the album for the first time on my way to work last night and ran it back for a second time a few hours ago. All I got to say is

.
I heard so much negative press about the beats on this album I was preparing myself for Wyclef Can-I-Bus level production.
I didn't hear one wack beat. I'll take it a step farther. Half of the beats on this album could have been produced by Dr. Dre and put on The Firm album and nobody would have questioned the production.
Bravo Nas. Bravo DJ Premier.
This album got everything:
Get ready - ambition. I still think cryptocurrency is funny money but Nas making that ish sound fly.
Nasty Esco Nas - in order to grow you gotta shed who you once were
Welcome to the Underground - I got choked listening to this joint
Sons- I got misty-eyed listening to this joint. My pops not a hip hop fan but I'm going to send this record to him. I look forward to the day I have a son and can play this record for him.
My story Your Story - To borrow a comment Nas and AZ is the Ryu & Ken of rap. I already knew what to expect from that duo. And to answer your question AZ we want that album. You know the album we talking about too.
The album gets better with every spin.
You gotta be 40+ years old to understand how good this album is.
