Has anyone done a sole swap on the Air Jordan 5 99/00 with the current retro releases? Are the soles the same size? Do they fit well?

Not cheap, but the right part.
They only come in black and white, you have to paint it to match the shoe.Only black and white, need red. $60! Sheeesh that's steep.
Thanks anyway!
edit: forgot to say thanks!
Reglue for sure. They are 25 years old lolAny risk in wearing OG Space Jams (2000)? I recently rediscovered mine that I had stored. I haven't worn them in at least 5 years and they weren't really well worn in the first place. I guess I'm worried that the glue will have deteriorated or the patent leather will crack. But the midsole still feels normal/springy and doesn't seem like it will crumble. Outsole still feels surprisingly like rubber and not plasticky.
They will def need to be reglued, the glue is already dust, air bag will also need to be replaced. Best to use something like Eva foam.Any risk in wearing OG Space Jams (2000)? DS Yutoʻs suede has a soft hue to them so dying is out of the question...

Scooped these up as a restoration project and was able to get a lot of the dirt and stains out... however...

Iʻm having issues with the water stains on the suede. I sprayed some mink oil on them and itʻs slowly helping. I also went on amazon and picked up an Angelus suede brush and eraser. Any other tips to try and bring these back to life?
suede eraser from shoelada or reshoevn8r should do the trick easily, for the stains their cleaner would also work. had the same problem on my reverse mochassuede halp...

5mm EVA foam from Amazon fits all XI models.New to the thread. Looks great. What kind of foam?
I have 2001 Breds. The midsole is intact but when I wear them there is this white dusty residue that comes from somewhere. Is that the glue or midsole breaking down? Do you think the midsole is still good for a reglue?
Have you looked into replacement air units rather than replacing with foam? No longer an "Air" Jordan if it has no air5mm EVA foam from Amazon fits all XI models.

The ones out there don't fit great and they'll continue to break down. And foam is WAY more comfortable for casual wear than zoom air and never breaks down. It's an easy choice. I've now done 7 pairs fro 96-01 in the past 3 months and they're all light years better with foam. Actually done them on 10's, 5 pairs of OG 12's, 13's and 14's. OG 14's with that forefoot full of foam is a beautiful ride.Have you looked into replacement air units rather than replacing with foam? No longer an "Air" Jordan if it has no air![]()
Insane for that to happen that fast. Use salon care 40, can be purchased at beauty stores or on amazon. There are tutorials on youtube. It's a temporary fix but you can keep reapplyingOof my DS 2022 Playoff 12s are yellowing badly. I’ve never had a DS pair like this yellow so horribly within 4 years. Is there anything I can do to reverse this? (Would Sole Glow or something work?)
