Part of the game. These the 21 pair? The glue they use causes em to yellow quicker. Easy fix but I'd say leave em alone for now

So these been collecting dust under my bed for years. Decided to make them my work shoes last week, then this happened after a few days off wear. Anyway these can be salvaged or nah?

I imagine with recent releases for both models a sole swap would be relatively easy. That said don't do know the prices on either but it may be worth just getting the newest retros

I have a LOT of fixings to do, mostly on my Kobe 8's. Purchased Barge Infinity Cement lately and glued my Extraterrestrials Kobe's.
Now I'm not sure if done correctly, but is Barge also recommended for gluing Kobe 8's?
Asking since the upper of the shoes is fabric, that needs to be glued to the mid sole. I'm afraid it didn't get attached properly, gonna try to reglue again with Barge for (hopefully) better results.
Another difficulty I have is keeping the front of the sole pressed overnight. I used rubber bands for the front edge, but I'm clueless when it comes to the rest of the front.
Any help for a beginner like me will be appreciated. Thanks for the patience.

Let me make your life easy. Put barge cement on both sides of what you want to glue together. Let sit for exactly 8 minutes and then press together carefully (do multiple practice runs without glue until you do it perfectly) and then stuff the shoes and maybe use a towel or shirt to cover the shoe to prevent glue residue from tape and use the tape to hold it all together. For any spaces that don’t line up perfectly you can use toilet paper or paper towels to fill the voids so the tape presses on all sides of the shoes. Take your time and you can pm me for any tips or additional info. Happy cobbling!

Thought you're also suppose to heat the glue after those 8 minutes?
Followed this guy's video. And also bought these shoe tree, clamps and rubber bands to help with the process.
Any further advises apart from the ones you noted above?

I’ve done both and heating it up is like making it a fresh application and the key is the wait time between pressing them together. The bond after 8 minutes is almost instant which is why I recommend practice application of the reglue sections before you actually press both uppers and lowers together. Also, use as much or as little clamping power as you feel necessary and adjust your technique with every time you do it j til you are perfect at it. Practice makes perfect due to the mistakes we make along the way.

Be mindful of prep if not already doing so because if the we short that the adhesion has a difficult time locking.
If weve got that dialed in letting the adhesive dry completely to where i can touch both sides without locking together has produced far better results with absolutely no clamping necessary.
Way its done is ill break things down to small sections at a time. Keeping the sides separated apply a thin coat, let it dry apply another thin coat then let it sit for a couple hours until like mentioned i can sandwich the two free of tacking. Once completely dry take a heat source one quick pass then press.
Give it at least a weak prior to wear so that the adhesion has decent time to lock together 100%. If youd like me to elaborate on prep or application let me know.

I would say no. Sole Bright is for use of the outsole (bottom) of an 11. For the midsole, try soap and water with a stiff bristle brush first and see how it cleans the midsole.

Anybody have any idea if the plastic on a pair of AJ18 from 2003 can be conditioned to keep soft and not crack,? I feel like this is going to crack like my 17s did.

They crack unfortunately. There may be a couple wearable pairs out there, but my 08 CDP Have started to go.

Need some assistance please, my pair of XIX SE have this tab that seems to be broken on the sides, but it’s not falling off. (yet)
I’ve searched online and found that it’s a known problem due to age.
Any way to glue this so it doesn’t come off?

My playoff 12s (2022 version) are already yellowing. They’re yellowing on the edge of the white leather. So my griffeys from 2021 are developing yellow spots. I appreciate all the help.
Any help with this? How do I avoid this as well
