I was at an IMAX this afternoon and there wasn’t an empty seat in the theater… that’s a whole 9 days from its opening.
I think it was him regaining his memories gradually, so it’s sort of linear in that way from the time Gosling wakes up to the end, but I get it.

Lucky Number Slevin is his best acting and an incredible movie, I would highly recommend. Twists and shuffles galore in terms of what you think you’re seeing.
Also has Bruce Willis, Ben Kingsley, Morgan Freeman, Lucy Liu, Stanley Tucci, Corey Stoll.
That movie made him for me.

I’d argue he never really got that big. He was in one hit wonder territory before he took a break to do a string B movies and more artistic tv work.
It’s his good looks and hype that boosted his fame imo. Only actor I know that was seriously considered for the roles of Batman, Superman, and Spider-Man.
Some in Hollywood recognized early the dwindling number of young white male movie stars and really wanted him to be next up.
