It went from 8.99 to 14.99 in about 4 or 5 years. The "chase" is a slight pose change. I saw it coming in late 2018, early 2019. When they started doing too much. The 18 inch , hundred dollars funko pops. The black lights were cool. But then it was patina, the art deco, the gold, etc etc. They did every single nostalgic line they could think of. The bags, the minis (why compete with legos) etc etc. The NYCC and SDCC exclusives started to lose luster. Previewing Pops and never producing them ( Where is the Wu Tang Clan Pops?) And then they started going after customizers and Pops reviewers....and now with a general release pop costing the same as an exclusive, what the point?. Started making Pops of people never heard of...especially the music ones. I used to collect them real tough. But I slow down back in 2020, when it was just saturated with so much "nonsense" (imo). I got into other lines. Like Super 7, statues, etc. They just need to revamp and go back to what made them what they were. But thats what happens when shareholders get involved and all they care about is short term investing.
