They're really just stylistic, I don't notice them at all when running in the Hyperion Elite 5 versus anything else. Great shoe though! Maybe a touch underrated with everything out, I think Brooks misfired pricing them at $275 though in the current market, they're an A tier super shoe but maybe not an S tier super shoe. Very reminiscent of the Vaporfly Next 2 in feel and upper.

the cut out design is at least a way to reduce weight i guess
and i agree with the price, thats $25 over the Adios Pro 4 and adidas goes on sale way more often so there are going to be a lot of people passing on it despite the curiosity… like me

Picked these up from my local running shop the other day. I have two runs in them so far and have really enjoyed them. I haven’t seen any reviews so I thought I’d share my initial thoughts.
I tried the Cloudmonster Hyper last year and didn’t get along with the heel counter. I have a history of Achilles issues so the Light Spray upper was appealing to me.
The upper feels great. I’ve only worn the socks that were provided which have extra heel cushioning. Will need to try with other socks. It really does lock you in place.
I’m a forefoot striker and feel like the midsole is really smooth. It’s a good balance of responsive and cushioning.
The price is high at $280 however I had a store credit so it didn’t feel as bad and you get a good pair of socks which ON is selling for $30.

i want to try their lightspray upper so bad but i also have a high instep and it looks like that upper just has no give at all

lockdown for me felt good and had no issues when i demo'd them
sizing will be the biggest challenge since everyone's foot is different and the upper doesn't have much give at all, but these were way less difficult for me to put on than with the strike. my lady did have more of a difficult time putting them on and they had to get her a full size before being able to get her foot in, but she does have a wider foot with a higher instep
otherwise, fit is pretty TTS for me and ride felt good. super rockered

yah thats what I am afraid of, that id have to size up just so i can slip in foot in (i also have a wide feet)
like the React1 irritated the top of my foot after a while and that one has a strechy upper, just not stretchy enough
so unfortunately i dont think those ONs are just not meant for me

I really wasn’t sure I would like the upper while walking around in the shoes but once I started running it just worked for me.
It’s a secure fit for my foot without feeling too tight.

They felt great! I liked way better than the deviate elite 3(I actually ran this route last year in those). Foam felt nice. You can feel if any part of ground is uneven or slanted or hole….Stability goes out the window lol but turns and everything were great. Definitely had me running faster/ felt like I was going slower than the clock showed (I only was checking mile splits)

At least in the app, they do. in stores usually it varies.
Went into an adidas store today and they said none of the stores will be getting the hyperboost until May. So online is the only option.

ADC has really been clutch with the vouchers...they use to suck and not work on anything, now the opposite. which is both helping and hurting my wallet lol
