Ehh the Jordan years were cool I won’t lie, but what john did for the city doesn’t compare. Two different eras for sure. The whole gm/player thing, drafting kwame brown all left a lil stain on mj’s time here. Still cool as hell to say mj played here tho as a lifelong wiz fan.

Soon as Wall announced his retirement this morning ran to eBay and copped this authentic city edition before it got snagged up. Been watching it for months glad I was able to cop. Best Wizard ever imo..not there’s much to choose from 😂

I would have to agree that John Wall is the best Wizard in the last few decades at least based on the fact the team didn't have a star player stay with them for a long time like he did. He is truly a Wizard because he was the No. 1 overall pick in 2010 and excelled with them for 10 years.

Michael Jordan with the Wizards will always be a joke to me. I would equate his time with them like how Hulk Hogan was in WCW from 1994 to 2001. It was basically legends who couldn't get enough of the spotlight when it wasn't their time anymore.

Jordan was horrendous as the team president of basketball operations with the Wizards, especially with him drafting Kwame Brown with the No. 1 overall pick in 2001. He was also terrible as a player with the Wizards because he wasn't likable as a teammate as his game declined by that time. The funny thing is that then-owner Abe Pollin fired him in 2003 because he opted not to let him return to his executive position after his playing career ended.

Jordan repeated the same blunder in 2006 when he drafted Adam Morrison with the No. 3 overall pick when he was part owner of the Bobcats.

The story about Kwame Brown was that he was never wanted because he was only drafted with the purpose of packaging him in a trade for Elton Brand, which ultimately fell apart. So that wasn't good for his development as Jordan was hard on him since he wasn't intended to be a Wizard.
