Twolves supporting cast was great especially in a closeout game. I’ll be the first to tell you Rudy was a slight scammer but I can’t say anything bad about him round 1.

Danny ainge was signed a new head coach was promoted in. Richard dumas came back for a year long suspension
Ainge and Barkley took them from a 4 seed to a 2 .
Can’t knock the controversy against the sonics but let’s not act like that roster didn’t improve. Jeff hornacek was there leading scorer even tho KJ did all the heavy lifting

The most underrated move the wolves did is the Conley trade. Veteran presence, got off dlo who played terrible with Gobert. Got walker AND like 4 second round picks. He hit the game winner for us last night too.

Gobert was lowkey invisible this series until last night. Held up on switches better, but was a complete negative on offense.

He basically had more points and rebounds than in the 4 previous games total. But yes he was really good in isolation though.

It’s hard to say it’s close when the guy hasn’t played meaningful basketball in his life. The idea of him is close, sure.
I’m not talking about them marching up with Ant on defense. He outplayed the guy who outplayed him last year and sent them home from the playoffs? That’s the impressive part. Regardless of LeBron’s age, he’s still a guy who’s going to make All NBA this year.
We’ve already seen Gobert get played off the floor when Luka had a lob threat/rim protector and shooters last year. Good series by him but his limitations are still pretty glaring.
