Late reply but if you're still looking here are some recs: Dani's in Kew Gardens, New Park Pizza in Howard Beach, Vaccaro's in Little Neck, Margherita Pizza on Jamaica Ave(they've been here since like 1962), Lucia Pizza in Flushing.

Thanks for the reply. I was in town for a Mets game. I went to Pizza Garden. Didn’t love it. I’ll check out Lucia next time.
