“Has Anyone Ever Seen a typo “AIR JORDAM” on a Jordan Sample tag?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for insight on something really unusual I found on a pair of promo sample Jordan 4s that are styled like the Eminem x Carhartt collab.

The inside tongue tag has a clear typo — it says “AIR JORDAM” instead of “AIR JORDAN.” The rest of the tag reads:

AJ4-136863 LNM
College Navy / Amarillo - White
Size M11
Upper: QF-8
Season: SU18
PROMO SAMPLE

I know Nike has made rare QC mistakes before, but I’ve searched everywhere and haven’t found a single confirmed pair with “AIR JORDAM” on the tag — especially not on a promo sample. Has anyone here ever seen this before?

I’m wondering if it could be an internal test sample, an error that slipped through, or more likely a high-end fake.

Any insight from collectors, sample experts, or anyone who’s seen something like this would be greatly appreciated.

Im not an expert but first looks at the tag and it doesn't look right TO ME even for the older tags before the update. So I'd say fake but get a few more opinions. The shoes in my profile pic are the kyrie 1 uncle Drew X Pepsi collab I bought years ago with that style tag and it didnt look like that as far as details go.

You be better off showing the rest of the shoe with multiple pics to have people see if it's fake or not.

Thank you. Thats what I’m here for is opinions. There’s too many other pluses like for example there’s a Chinese signature on the box label that means “to gift” or “send” which would make sense knowing there’s a typo involved. Along with QF-8 markings on the insoles and size tag. SU 18 Promo Sample. Why would fakes not fake the tag too with something that everyone is used to like SU 15 (Summer 15) I have pictures posted here on NikeTalk under the Fake/Price Checks forum for your viewing pleasure. To me, the red flag on this would be the color code of "college navy/Amarillo" and the box saying black/white. Pretty sure the color code on those Eminems wouldn't be navy/yellow.

Thank you for your comment. According to Chat GPT it’s describing the yellow in the Carhartt tongue tag. The black/ grey kind of makes sense to me as they seem like what the colors of these are. Remember these are samples including the box.

The Amarillo I could maybe see. College Navy is the first color listed, meaning it's the primary color. There's no navy on that shoe that I'm aware of.

EDIT: Just realized I forgot to include that "College Navy/Amarillo" is also the color code for the Michigan 4's.

Ok thank you. Keep in mind that my pair has SU 18 on the size tag insinuating that they were made in 2018. Post the 2015 pairs and the tongue branding possibly changed since it’s a sample pair. Other people on Reddit are confirming that this could have been made for someone internally like a Nike executive, Carhartt executive, or someone from Eminem’s team. I ask myself why would a faker sign the box label with the word “sòng” in Chinese which means “to gift” or “to send”

Since this shoe came from a respectable underground shoe hub in Japan I reached out to Worm Tokyo on IG hoping to get some answers.

But that's the thing these were only made in 2015 not 2018 atleast not that I can find.. and your question about why would a fake maker do that? Idk rep makers do alot of questionable ****.. I've seen fakes of shoes and your pull up pics and your like really? How'd they get that wrong? But they do and there's MANY rep makers and they only need to be close to get people to question what's right in front of them. I'd never buy these Em's there's already to many things wrong. Hope you figure it out pimpin.

Thank you but I wasn’t selling them. I continually keep asking myself “Why would a faker get everything else as far as the details spot on right but get the size tag wrong on purpose?” Or why would a faker use a different tongue branding and not the same one that people are used to (like yourself) that came out in the auctioned 2015 pairs? Fakers want to sell fast and purposely having red flags like this don’t make sense to me. I’m not giving up on finding out if they were made in a Nike factory

It sounds like you just REALLY want these to be real, when multiple people in here are telling you there's red flags all over the place. Go ahead and do your thing, but don't say we didn't warn you if they turn out to be bad.

Yes, I, who have literally zero skin in the game, want them to be fake. You came on here asking for advice. Several people gave you advice, and because that advice isn't what you want to hear, you keep countering our advice with more "but what if...?"

Here is that exact pair already being questioned on Reddit, and someone else saying the very things we're saying. Took me all of about 30 seconds on Google to find. (and when I actually clicked on the account, it's you asking about them on Reddit too)

Font is completely off both on the inside tag and the box tag. Never ever seen a promo box label with that font. You’d also have the developer name and other elements relevant to the sample.

I was gonna say this to him earlier, had it typed out and everything

he obviously wants them to be real [they are not] and i get it why wouldn't you want them to be real but dude needs to take a hint... I usually dont answer people's questions like this but figured I'd help, that may have been the wrong choice
