Starting it here now, most are saying it's to early but the point of a forum is to discuss the topic amongst everyone,.... As we all know the Air Jordan 40 is currently. Asking it's rounds and preparing for its own hybrid models.... With most to launch in Spring and early Summer of 2026, I believe this is the perfect time to talk about what we all want?!? Of course most will say the 40 was plain, but it's because of that and it's overall performance that makes it a great shoe.... As for what we want to see in the 41, we of course want some great support, and comfortable cushioning for impact.... I have noticed that the 40 did not cross into the 11 territory, so I'm wondering how much the 11 will play into the 41?!? We of course all want a classy show with premium feel and textures,while trying to keep it light weight... Expect great traction and lock down,... I'm sure MJ will have a direct hand in the styling of the technology And final styling, but as we all know that's not always a bad thing?!!

I feel they could do some.hybrids, but I definitely that if anything the shoe needs to be a defining moments for the Brand
 
Hybrids made sense for the 40 due to it being an anniversary #; rather not see it on the 41.

With the way they’ve been playing around with SNKRS reserve, SNKRS Code etc this would be an amazing opportunity to offer the flagship as a Nike By You experience for a very, very small amount of lucky fans - ideally ones who have multiple signature Jordan purchases in their SNKRS/NDC profile.

The sig Jordan was always supposed to be an amazing performance shoe that can be worn casually as well and way too many models in the last decade were not anything I’d want to be seen in outside a basketball court.
 
I know I'm in the minority and everybody loves them coming up with a new shoe and then spinning classic colorways over it. I know it's a cash cow for them, and a built in fanbase and near guaranteed purchases. I know it keeps tying things back to mostly things that can be attached to Mike. And I get it. I started dunking cause of Mike. Hell I wasn't even playing basketball, I was playing football, and seeing MJ and stuff like Come Fly With Me and Air Time and MJ's Playground and the dunk contests had me out at the park til it got dark trying to do different dunks and be like mike.

But damn, at some point don't you have to do something all new? 🤔

It’s because no shoe the line can produce will touch the OG run of Jordans MJ wore.

I actually liked when they focused on making the mainline shoes performance first and you had models like the XX8 which were unique and also focused on being the best basketball shoe on court. Seems like whenever they try to make the shoes have a broader appeal, they inevitably just start making them look like the classic retros for whatever reason.

I actually didn’t like that approach either. “Performance first” is……. WHAT THEY BEGAN WITH. Nike was always function and fashion intertwined. At some point that all got thrown out the window. If we want to be really foreal, all the cheap “performance” uppers were just an excuse for easy manufacturing practices. No stitching needed
 
Firstly, I’d like to not get kicked out of the thread. Been kicked out of 37, 39, & 40 threads.

Like the 40 and how it looks, but the shoe just causes me to pronate unlike any other J I’ve worn. Fix that in the 41. Not a fan of the hybrids. I get it since it’s the 40th ani.

For the 41 I’d love to see a fully 3d printed midsole reducing weight with a high quality leather upper.

The 11 had the first carbon fiber shank plate. Will we see an homage to that? The upper of the 11 also was the first to use ballistic mesh. Will we see an homage to that in the 41? Would be cool to see these materials used again. Haven’t seen a good use of carbon fiber since the 28. Would like to see that used prominently in the 41. Also, will JB Homage the patent leather and in what way?

Pretty excited to see what they cook up.

Let’s not forget, JB hired Christian Tresser as their senior expert designer for speed to market footwear. I’m hoping that means 3d printed Jordans. Either way, I’m hoping he’s had or will have some hands on the flagship in the upcoming years

Well the 37, I had an issue with the w *nba logo on the shoe. I expressed it in a red pill perspective and the white knights came marching in. Shocking right?

For the 39 I can’t remember and for the 40 someone was playing games with me and I returned the favor and I’m the one that had to go. Administrator saw to that.

So let people say whatever derogatory nonsense they want to you is my advice lol

You gotta learn how to use the ignore button man. NT for sure has some dudes talking wild in ways they’d never do in real life. That’s just part of the internet though.

You’re not wrong about that but, as much as I hate to say it, having synthetic uppers makes a lot of sense for performance models due to the breathability and weight reduction vs leather (although leather obviously looks better).

I liked that the XX8 lows had some leather on them though.

Agreed. As much as I liked playing in the 40s the breathability isn't as good as it was on the 39.

They look nice on court though :lol:
