Just recently sold my pair from the '17 release. Decent retro in my opinion, but this colorway desperately needs True Red suede, not Team Red. Hope we get an improved Black/Red retro soon too. The pair from '17 was awful. Horrible shape. Horrible toebox leather.

My 2017 pair still good, hopefully the new pair doesn’t squeak. Since when were these called True Reds? Were called Chicagos until the early 2000s then cats started calling them Cherrys.

The shade of red was not my problem in 2017.
The only issue is they squeak a lot due to fake leather.
I discovered last year than the cat eye has been faded but not the one of the Bred 2017's.
I hope they will improve the leather.

The All Stars that dropped a couple years back were done really well…Little nit picks here and there but overall that was one of the better 13 drops in recent years…If they follow that trend with this pair then they should be good…There was a grey ish pair that dropped a year or two ago that had some excellent leather on the toe box, so that gives me hope for this pair…
Only thing that would really bothered me was the squeaking that the ‘17 pair had, but the use actual leather on the tongue would take care of that…It’s just something Nike refuses to fix on the 13’s…We’ll see what Nike runs with but that will be a big deal to me if they continue using that plastic for the tongue…

I’ve had the 2010 and the 2017 pairs and I’ve seen the OGs in person almost on a weekly basis because one of my homies used to go out of his way to rock OGs only in high school (2007 - 2011 for me). That red on the OG pair is such a sharp, bright piercing red—so much so that it actually bleeds onto the white leather. I’m not sure I’m willing to sacrifice the aesthetic of the white leather for the correct shade of red but hopefully it’s not a dull shade of red that they always seem to make us settle for.

13’s are still a legit performance basketball shoe. Literally has more tech in it that most Nike sig shoes today. If they treat it as such there won’t be any problems

Definitely in. I missed out on the 2017, and my OG’s and 2010 are long gone. My 2018 white black pair is still in great shape so I’m glad we are getting these instead. But we need the black/reds as well. And JB, use the CORRECT shade of red this time!!!

My only beef with this colorway in general is the white collar, always thought should have had a black one like on the white/red 12.

Yeah that inside sock liner gets killed with wear, but I’m fine with that
