When you say easiest to style, do you mean that as in easiest to wear under any scenario be it casual/business casual?
All round fits really. People who know little about sneakers can sometimes confuse them with Dunks and even AF1s, both of which are easy to style, in terms of the model. I think it has more to do with Nike’s 1980s basketball shoe design being widely adopted over the decades and having somewhat similar asthetic (flat outsoles, clean rubber midsole, all leather upper with swoosh branding, etc. etc.).

I have seen some solid casual Friday office fits with Neutral Grey and Metallic Navy lows though. Can’t really do that with the vast majority of Js, to your point.

Solid response. I only have Black Toe and Shadow lows and both work perfect for any scenario. I don’t see that being the case with any Jordan beyond the 1.

The 11 is forever the GOAT SNEAKER. Simply the most iconic Air Jordan ever. It was Tinker in his prime, and it was so far ahead of its time. Patent leather, mesh, carbon fiber, and the return of the translucent outsole? It was the perfect storm. Plus, Mike had just came back and the Bulls shattered records, all while the 11 became the first new Jordan to sellout.

The 4 might be the most popular model now, but the 11 had the longest reign - from 96’ to basically 2015. And it’s still an extremely popular model even today.

In particular, the Concord 11 and Black/Red 11. The Black/red is my favorite shoe ever, though the Concord is probably the most iconic.

Problem with 11s is that they age pretty terribly.

The patent leather loses its shine and/or yellows. Same with the nylon uppers. Looks pretty gross honestly:

You could say that about ALOT of Jordans though. Out the box, nothing beats the 11. Not the 1’s. Not the 4’s. Not even the 3’s.

And if we are talking about the black/reds, then the aging factor becomes trivial.

I’m still on my first pair of the 2019 black/red release. Worn them literally hundereds of times, easily the most worn pair of shoes in my collection :

With little signs of them breaking down. These things are tanks. I doubt I’ll even get to the second pair by the time they retro again. Bred 11’s are simply the GOAT.

In fact, I’d say the Bred 11 destroys the BC4 in terms of overall durability. The durabuck is beautiful out the box but will eventually crack, not to mention 3-6 midsoles eventually crumble (at least on OG’s).

Looks wise it’s totally subjective ofc, but I’d take the 11 all day every day and twice on Sundays. Only the 3 rivals the 11 in terms of how revolutionary the design and aesthetic was for their respective time.

Yeah I mean even Bred 11s will lose their shine.

You have a point about aging-3s and 4s crumble and 11s do not.

That said most 1985 AJ 1s are both wearable and many of those pairs still look great, given they are 40+ years old. Literally every pair of OG 11s have all long lost their shine and/or yellowed, to this point.

Black a Red OG 11s do NOT lose anything at all. If NOW, we are judging shoes by how they age, then it is a whole different discussion . I think the OP was speaking of the shoes in its new version form, not its aging process of several years later.
Compare your pair of OG Breds to your pair of 2019s… The outer layer on the patent leather absolutely loses its shine over time.
