Problem Repeatedly Occured on thread…

Safari iOS.

Good lord. I tried 10 times to type that message. Lol Page kept crashing. I am now in private window mode. No problems so far.

What happens is the time it takes to type the above message, the page refreshes. Then when it refreshes, a full page ad loads and the website/webpage then crashes.

What model iPhone/iPad are you using?

If private browsing solves the problem, it’s possible that clearing your cookies might help:

Cleared my cache and browsing data. I did the advanced version where I kept my history. That seems to have fixed the problem so far.

Is there a way to remove the ads? Being a contributor?

I’m glad to hear that clearing your cache and browsing data helped.

Our goal is to ensure that the ad-supported version of the site is a great experience - it’s what the staff and I use - but those who prefer an ad-free experience may upgrade here: https://niketalk.com/account/upgrades

It’s a wrap, spam and ad robots fully taken control over the site. RIP was only a matter of time.

We haven’t received any reports of spam posts in months, so I’m not sure where you’re seeing that but if you use the report link beneath the offending post(s) the moderating team will take care of it.

If you’re seeing the “problem repeatedly occurred” error we’ve heard from multiple users that using a private browsing tab and/or clearing cache/cookies as discussed above helps.

Feel free to read through the preceding posts if you’d like help troubleshooting.

I have the pinch and zoom crash issue and the white screen splash issue that randomly happens when browsing on safari, iPhone 14 Pro latest IOS. I don't usually browse in private on my phone. But, my issues are not as bad as others that can't even seem to get a post in.

My biggest issue is Niketalk being super slow and unresponsive. Trying to 'react' to a post will cause a loading symbol to appear and I have to wait before I can even really scroll down. The browser might say something like "this tab is taking too much information" etc. And Ill have to use a different tab or switch back and forth between Chrome and Safari. When browsing privately (macbook air 2020 release-latest ios), the issue is momentarily gone and then after a while same thing.

Can't remember if I tried emptying the cache to solve it but I do empty it every so often.

Here to say the site is still really slow.. I get a notice from either Safari (personal macbook air 2020) or Firefox (at work desktop PC). When this happens I have to constantly refresh or click 'stop' to get the page to refresh or just be able to keep typing this message.

When I'm just browsing the site and looking at forums to decide which thread I want to visit, I can't even click on a thread (it just shows an arrow like nothing on the page is hyperlinked). I had to google this thread to get inside of it to access it and be able to view posts and then create this post..

Site has been pretty bad for a while. I figured when it went down for upgrades it would be better but its still hard to navigate the site randomly.

When a social media platform changes their post embedding it can cause problems. We installed an update last night that helped to alleviate this.

If you’re still experiencing it, try loading the same page in a private/incognito tab. If that fixes the problem, it’s likely a cookie issue. In that case, deleting your browser’s cookies/cache may help.
