Moving to LA! Any tips on finding apartments

I am from NYC but have been living in the Bay Area( Richmond, CA) for two years and don't really like it. Im gettin many job opportunities in LA.
Does anyone have any tips(sites, people, methods, area, etc..) for finding a decent studio/1 BR. I just want my own space, just never had to search for an APT.
Feelings nervous and overwhelmed. I will take any advice!!!

really depends on where you're looking to stay and willingness to commute (although some if not all positions would be remote). however, i just moved to a studio in koreatown and have been noticing that rent has been on the lower end of 1.3k

keep in mind of amenities (laundry, parking, etc.) when looking.
